THE POWER OF PRAYER

"I urge above all that there be prayers, prayers, petitions and thanksgiving, for all men;
For kings and for all who are in eminence, so that we may live quietly and peacefully in all piety and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable before God our Savior,
Who wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. "
(1 Timothy 2: 1-4)

In order to maintain a direct relationship with God it is essential to resort to prayer.
It is extremely important that each and every one of us desire and pray for the conversion of souls.
Now is time

*** THE POWER OF PRAYER ***

- 1 - Save from impossible situations

 (Luke 18: 1-3)
"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary."

- 2 - Free from fear
 (Ps 107: 9, 13, 28)

[Psalms 107: 9]
"For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness."

[Psalm 107: 13]
"Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses."

[Psalm 107: 28]
"Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses."

- 3 - Move and open the skies
 (Acts 4: 31, James 5:17)

[Acts 4:31]
"And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness."

[James 5:17]
"Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months."

- 4 - Protect from the enemy

 (1 Peter 5: 7-9)
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."

- 5 - Free from worries

(Philippians 4: 6-7)
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

- 6 - It leads to a fruitful life

 (John 15: 7-8)
"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples."

- 7 - It moves the heart of the other people
( Acts 2: 37-42; 16: 25 )

[ Acts 2: 37-42 ]
"Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."

[ Acts 16: 25 ]
"And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them."
